Success! Full Planning granted for ‘upside-down’ house ancillary to a dwelling granted under Class Q

Prism Ag successfully gains full planning permission for a 2-bed ancillary ‘upside down’ barn conversion scheme using a former agricultural workshop building with limited curtilage, including the extension of the domestic curtilage of an existing dwelling which was given Prior Approval under Class Q in the South Yorkshire Green Belt.

The proposed scheme was based upon shared parking, refuse area and bicycle parking with the proposed ‘upside down’ barn conversion being for the applicants elderly family, the design saw the includion of a lift between floors, with the ground floor encompassing bedrooms, family bathroom, utility and boiler room. Whilst the first floor would have a wc, kitchen diner and open plan living room space, in addition a balcony was allowed overlooking the field.
