Following the grant of Prior Approval for a Class Q barn conversion for the client in 2018, Prism Ag applied for an adjacent agricultural workshop building last used for car storage purposes under the Full Planning route to create an ‘Upside Down’ barn conversion to utilise open plan living space on the first floor with views across the valley, woodland and beyond and downstairs is to accommodate bedrooms, bathroom and laundry facilities, a disabled lift and staircase between floors, the application was granted Full Planning permission in December 2020 and conditioned as ancillary to the 2018 barn conversion at the site, the applicant wanted additional space in which to put a small gym area and shower, connected to the 2018 barn conversion, as there was sufficient spare curtilage, which was left unpaved following the landscaping of the garden area and this space was a full bay width of some 15ft, Prism Ag was successful in gaining householder planning for a 6 metre deep extension for the barn conversion which had recently been completed.
