A considered plan for new equestrian facilities

The project
Following an earlier permission for a change of use from agricultural to equestrian land, the client sought consent for facilities to support the horses and the management of the site.
The challenge
The proposal brought together several buildings and facilities, as well as the practical management of the land. The planning submission needed to explain the operation and address the relevant site considerations.
Our approach
Prism Ag managed the planning process and prepared an equestrian statement. The submission covered an American-style stabling barn, a storage barn, a covered lunging pen and a manège. Supporting work included a pasture management plan and consideration of manure storage in relation to nearby watercourses.
The outcome
Full planning permission was secured for the new equestrian facilities. The case illustrates the value of considering the buildings and the day-to-day management of the land together.
