A coordinated planning approach for two commercial schemes, from starter units to larger industrial accommodation.
The project
Two applications ran concurrently for commercial and industrial development on a site in Scunthorpe. The proposals included a phase of starter units with small office spaces and a second phase of larger industrial units with mezzanine offices.
The challenge
Prism Ag took on the first phase after submission by another agent. The client wanted a layout that made better use of the site, while the applications also required coordinated specialist information.
Our approach
After achieving an initial permission, Prism Ag used that position to inform a revised application and an improved scheme for the client’s preferred layout. The team brought together highways and transport, flood risk and drainage, architectural and geotechnical input.
The outcome
Two full planning permissions were secured. The published record credits Andrew Moseley of AMATP for highways and transport input, Gavin Shepherd for flood risk and drainage, Architecture OneEight Ltd for the final architectural plans, and Timothy Hyett of EarthTech Consulting Ltd for geotechnical consultancy.
