Orchard Planting

Prism Agriculture, working alongside the UK’s leading fruit tree raiser, provides guidance in orchard planting to assure your success in managing the high level of on-going care today’s orchards demand. We assist in all aspects of orchard planting to include:

  • pre-planting soil testing
  • selecting the varieties most suitable for your particular soil type
  • planning for increased planting densities
  • understanding the evolution in equipment necessary to maximise your crops’ yields
Soil Testing

Soil Testing

As part of our full spectrum consultation services, Prism Agriculture offers soil testing services that measure your land’s nutrient-holding ability and provide the foundation for sound land management decisions.

During our site visit, we will collect soil samples, plant tissues, or water for independent analysis via a UKAS accredited and Defra approved laboratory. The results of our soil testing will provide you with the soil pH and determine the required application of N, P, K, and Mg, as well as recommendations for required agricultural lime application to balance any soil acidity.
